Tombstone road bond meeting discusses 750000 to 1200000 issue
Cochise County Road Bond Issue Association met in Tombstone with representatives from all county sections to debate bond amounts for road improvements. A three member committee will seek endorsement from the Cochise County Taxpayers Association on a 750000 9000 or 1200000 proposal. If endorsed the 525 mile plan will go to vote. otherwise a 750000 plan may be placed before supervisors in March.

Road Work in Benson Area Advances Despite Death in Town
Road work across the country adjacent to Benson has begun with MacCol Mess leading the effort as chief road booster. Work occurs each Tuesday with Moss and Goetz coordinating crews, while February dates show progress between Benson and St David. In town, T C Proffitt died at 30 after malaria complications, funeral held at Pomerenoy conducted by Bishop Powell Cosby.

At a Benson meeting last night businessmen arranged a dance at the Auditorium on Monday night March 6 to accompany the Cochise County Cattlemen's Association gathering. Ft Huachuca Military band to provide music for locals and visitors. Ed Coons escaped serious injury after his wagon ran away near Vlasshaert's place. he was bruised but not badly hurt. Wagon damaged, team uninjured. Also promoting Coal & Ice and listing items for sale at Gem Second Hand Store including iron safe and organs.
