Gifts From Blackhawk School Council To Bensenville Home
Blackhawk Junior High student council will present a console sewing machine and an arts crafts weaving room today at 3 p.m. to the Bensenville Home for the Aged and Young. The gifts stem from a $1500 magazine sale and include a new AM FM radio tape recorder and turntable costing 300. Seven new record players for classroom use cost 350. The group also contributed 500 toward the eighth grade Springfield trip for 240 students on May 1. Sponsors are Ron Yunker and Elaine Minnec. Remaining funds will support future school projects.

Bicycle Safety Week events in Bensenville feature a districtwide safety poster display at the village hall and a Saturday safety check and bike registration. Police officers will run times at Green Street, Chippewa, Tioga, W A Johnson, and Mohawk schools with a rain date of June 6.

Flag Football Sign Up Slated by Wood Dale Association
The Wood Dale Boys Social and Athletic Association will hold annual flag football registration on June 3 from 7 30 to 9 30 pm at Oakbrook School. Boys ages 7 to 13 may register June 13 as the only signup this season. Fee is 8 dollars per applicant. Last season 120 boys joined in two divisions 7 to 10 and 11 to 13.
