Driver Arrested After Itasca Hit Incident

Joseph Imburgia 20 of Roselle was arrested by Itasca police for reckless driving after veering from Irving Park Road onto Rush Street and into a first floor living room at 247 S Rush St No one was inside the apartment and Imburgia was later released on a $50 bond. He refused hospital treatment after being revived and was taken to St Alexius Hospital for a release.

Nixon Visit Delights Mohawk Students at Airport

Sixty Mohawk elementary pupils in Bensenville crowded Schaum burg Airport to greet President Nixon last Friday. Three students reached the front to shake his hand, with James Scalfaro and Victor Rodriguez expressing thrills. Senator Percy and Gov. Ogilvie accompanied Nixon, and one eager pupil arrived at 7 20 a.m. for the trip.

Free Beauty Week Transforms Bensonville Home Like Parlor

Ten beauticians led by Pete Lombardi of Glamour Isle Salons set up a mobile parlor in the Bensonville Home recreation room for National Beauty Salon Week. About 20 women received free permanents, shampoos and sets as volunteers from Bloomingdale Medinah Roselle Welcome Wagon served coffee and cookies. Mario Tricoci co hosted with other operators from Lompardi’s salons and the Tricoci School of Cosmetology.

Women Bartenders Stir Controversy Across the U S

In Chicago and elsewhere lawsuits challenge bar licensing as a civil rights issue. In DuPage County women have long worked in taverns but face resistance from some male workers.
