Teens charged as police break Bensenville theft ring
Bensenville police say two teens aged 14 and 15 face theft and burglary charges in a suspected youth theft ring spanning Bensenville and Wood Dale. Investigators tied nine autos and nine burglaries to the ring and recovered radios bikes mowers tapes tools and more from youths homes and local sites. Detectives Markham Jensen Stueve and Heike led the probe.

Arrest Warrant Issued for Louis Washburn in Narcotics Case
An arrest warrant was issued last week for Louis Washburn of Chicago after he failed to appear at an indictment hearing in Wheaton on narcotics charges filed by Bensenville police. Washburn reportedly defaulted a $10,000 bond set for the November hearing. Earlier in September, Bensenville police seized about 133 pounds of a vegetable substance resembling uncut marijuana from a garage leased by Washburn and from his car, with an estimated value up to $13,000 if it were marijuana.

Youth Slightly Hurt In Auto Collision In Addison
An eight year old Addison boy was slightly hurt in a two car crash at Grand Avenue and York Road in Bensenville. Terry Beiner suffered facial and head bruises and did not require medical aid. Driver Koenig faces a traffic signal violation charge and is set to appear January 26 in Addison Court.
