Teens Honored for Care Aiding Special Needs Children
Twenty seven teenagers from Du Page County and Bloomingdale were recognized for their work at Elaine Boyd Creche Children's Medical Center in Bloomingdale. The aides supervise bathing feeding and dressing of nonambulatory children and receive two days of training before starting. Several awardees have pursued or will pursue nursing and education careers, while others plan future paths.
