Mrs Dorothy Beck Palmer 57 wife of H Bruce Palmer an industrialist battled a knife wielding intruder Friday with a can of mace but died from a single heart wound. Police said the thief entered by a broken window during a burglary bid at her Morris County home once described with floodlights and alarm systems. The intruder fled by car after she and her maid screamed for help. Palmer, president of the National Industrial Conference Board, had been in Massachusetts on business. her husband returned home.
