The author recalls Granny Stops guiding riders on Weekender IV through a Vermont route with up to 60 miles. A drizzle turned to a downpour, soaking riders and ponchos, yet camaraderie grew as groups pressed on toward the Dorset Inn. Despite fatigue and wet gear, pride and shared achievement united the riders.
