CBSs two part presentation of The Great Escape led the latest week’s ratings with No 1 and No 2 for the film and its Thursday showing, signaling movies and specials will dominate season programming as viewers tire of routine series. The piece notes upcoming movie choices on CBS NBC and ABC and cites counterprogramming against films as a key tactic. It also cites a low rating for Good Company and reports a separate local crime citation and a public notice about wage laws.
