Bromley Mountain to show new side-by-side giant slides
Stig Albertsson, president of Bromley Mountain Corporation, announced two side-by-side giant slides to open in summer 1976. Developed in West Germany by DEMAG, the slide system has been popular in Europe since 1972. Bromley will host the first U S installation. Each slide exceeds half a mile in length and drops 660 feet through curves and straight sections. Riders use DEMAG sleds with full descent control to accelerate slow or stop as desired.
