Sharp Warns of Disaster If U.S. Halts Bombing

Adm. Ulysses S. G. Sharp, commander in the Pacific, told a Senate subcommittee that stopping U.S. bombing of North Vietnam would be a disaster, extend the war, and trigger higher American casualties. Voters Approve Swanton School Bond Issue

In Swanton Franklin and Highgate voters approved a 2.2 million Union District 7 school bond by 1,165 to 565. The plan includes a parochial school funded privately near the public complex, with a $97,000 federal grant to refine development of junior and senior high facilities and the parochial school.
