Mobile Homes Aren't Very Mobile Study Says
SAN FRANCISCO UPI History shows Americans move frequently and many choose homes on wheels. A Bank of America study finds one in five families will move this year, with mobile homes costing 6 000 to 7 000 for large 12 by 60 foot units. Two buyers dominate: young couples and retired seniors. The piece notes mobility is largely illusory as most moves occur only from factory to dealer and then to an assigned pad, and taxes influence relocation pressures.
