Bennington Senatorial Candidate Wilson on Schools Roads and Reapportionment

Robert M. Wilson of Bennington a Democratic candidate for one of Bennington County's two Senate seats outlines views on education highway needs and state reapportionment. He urges speeding U S 7 improvements to avert later congestion and favors regional school districts with local funding plus state aid, while backing transportation subsidies to enroll more students in secondary schools. He would support a state lottery or sweepstakes, and notes the need for a fixed pari mutuel split and careful review of Pownal track finances. He stresses maintaining small-town interests and argues reapportionment cannot be avoided.
