Fish and Game Chief Outlines Problems
Vermont Fish and Game Commissioner Edward F. Kehoe spoke at the Norshaft Lions Club dinner outlining needs and issues facing the department. He urged higher wardens salaries, modernization of hatcheries, disease prevention, a state game farm for injured wildlife, and funding to improve fishing streams. He also discussed deer herd control and a proposed county by county harvest study, plus a boys camping program and increased deer habitat work funded by federal collaboration.
