Conservation Society to appeal Vernon plant financing ruling

The Conservation Society of Southern Vermont voted unanimously to challenge the PSB order permitting Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Corp. to issue long term bonds unless the utility signs a contract ensuring compliance with environmental controls adopted by state agencies. The group says the PSB failed to resolve ecological questions before funding approval.

Vermont Soldiers' Home dedicates nursing home and chapel

The Vermont Soldiers Home officially dedicated its Major Gen. Leonard F. Wing Sr. Nursing Home Care Addition along with a new chapel and recreation hall.
