The Bennington Area Ecumenical Council Exec Committee met at St Peter's Episcopal Church with John Riddle presiding to discuss sponsoring a local Vietnamese family and outline an open meeting to be held at North Bennington Baptist Church. The group also reviews Food Shelf for the Hungry needs and plans for Lent and Christmas aid.

Margaret Adams Peltz will deliver a dramatic monologue There Is No Easy Faith at the Laity Sunday Worship Service of First Congregational Church Manchester. Peltz, a veteran performer and speaker, has appeared in summer stock films and radio and has led seminars with Dr. William Peltz and in Vermont churches. Lay leaders and a Diaconate committee assisted in planning the service under Rev. Jerome J. Hevey Jr.
Church Women United of southern Vermont met at Brattleboro First Methodist to plan a state learn in seminar led by Mrs. Alvan J. Lawrence and Rev. Catherine Wood. Speakers noted ecumenism, Heifer Project support, and practical seminar tactics. Delegates urged Vermont units to send representatives to the June regional assembly at Mount Holyoke and set a fall board meeting in Barre on Nov. 12.
