Nearly 100 women from 21 Extension homemaker groups gathered October 16 at Rupert Congregational Church for Bennington County Extension Homemakers Council’s annual fall meeting. Highlights included officer reports, scholarships for Muriel Bohne and Sharon Snow, plans for rug hooking and other classes, community beautification drives, foster child updates, and a tour plan for next spring. Recognition of long-time members and a Wedgwood China speaker capped the event.
Daily lunches listed for a Dorset school and others use varied dishes from Monday through Friday. Items include pig in a blanket, chicken a la king, mini submarine with bologna, spaghetti with meat sauce, tuna boat, beef and gravy, hot dogs, chicken noodle soup, Halloween themed meals, and multiple sandwiches with sides. Milk is served with all meals.
