Missing monk on Mt Equinox returns after three hour snow trek
A 47 year old Carthusian monk who wandered from the Mt Equinox monastery in Manchester during the day and was lost in snow for three hours before returning to the mountaintop monastery. A 75 member search party with state police dogs from Shaftsbury and Manchester conducted the operation. No medical aid was needed and the monk was found near the base before making his way back to the top.

Lounsbury Named House Doorkeeper
Former State Rep James Lounsbury of Pownal has been named house doorkeeper to fill the unexpired term of Henry Rowden of Ryegate. Sergeant at arms Reid Payne announced the appointment.
