Whitingham Faces Zoning Confusion Over Whitingham Farms
Whitingham Selectmen granted a variance for Whitingham Farms to build on less than one acre lots but state officials say such variances must be approved by the Zoning Board of Adjustment and on a lot by lot basis. A meeting will decide authority and process as interim zoning costs loom. Developers push rapid expansion with stock sales to out of state buyers while 64 lots sold and three homes under construction. The $100 million project spans Whitingham and nearby towns with lakes, trails and an 18 hole golf course planned.
