Nixon veto expected on bill regulating his war powers
President Nixon faces a looming veto about a war powers bill amid Watergate uproar. The measure would limit troop deployments to 90 days without Congress approval, with a 60 day initial period and a 30 day extension. Support from loyalists and some antiwar lawmakers was expected to sustain the veto.
