Adult Basic Education class begins Wednesday at MAUHS
Mt Anthony Union High School hosts free Adult Basic Education classes starting Wednesday evening in Room 308. The program serves adults from diverse countries to learn English and upgrade basic reading writing math and citizenship skills. Archaeologists convene at Bolton on Saturday
Walter Zacharchuk of Canada’s Department of Indian Affairs will describe raising a French gunboat from the St Lawrence during the Vermont Archaeological Society’s fourth annual meeting. The one day conference at Bolton Valley Lodge begins 9 a.m. Saturday Oct 23 with Darrell Casteel’s Lyndon State archaeology talk and a 2 p.m. motion picture on underwater archaeology followed by the VAS business meeting and board elections.

Rummage Sale Aids Nuclear Pollution Fees
A fundraising rummage and bake sale for the New England Coalition on Nuclear Pollution will be held Monday on Bennington College Commons lawn starting at noon and running into the afternoon. Rain dates are October 26 and 27. Items and food can be dropped off or picked up by calling 442-9321 or 447-7911. Many bargains for the whole family and a variety of foods will be available.
