Library history notes fuel Bennington Banner column
Reuben Levin contributes a Banner issue from April 20 1907 and an annual library report for the year ending March 1907. The piece contrasts past and present budgets and shows library growth from 6 228 volumes to 31 000 volumes with 9 897 circulations. It quotes the report on finances, salaries, and a lost idea to fund books by entertainment. The column also promotes reading with Charles Frankel’s A Stubborn Case and notes the Bennington Free Library hours and services.
