Bennington planning group hears Act 250 briefing
Bennington County Regional Planning Commission members heard from environment coordinator Ken Senecal on Act 250 rules for Vermont lands. He said most violators will be detected in winter and explained inspection methods via town clerks permits and land transfer records. He urged voluntary compliance to protect Vermont heritage and environment. The panel discussed disputes in Landgrove and Shaftsbury and clarified when stricter local or regional rules apply. The meeting also approved an equal employment opportunity policy and agreed to broaden representation to county interest groups.
