Two Bennington residents escape uninjured in Hoosick crash
Early Saturday a car side swiped the 1965 Valiant driven by John A. Fothergill Jr. and overturned into a drainage ditch on New York Route 7 in Hoosick. Fothergill and passenger Victoria Knights freed themselves through a rear window. The other driver fled but later surrendered to Justice Thomas G. Restino, with a summons issued for failure to stay to the right. A separate Hill Road crash in Hoosick involved Joseph Hanselman who chased and identified the other driver as Frederick Cuhn of Hartford, who then continued to Connecticut.
