Vice President Hubert Humphrey assailed his two opponents Friday describing their nuclear policies as frightening and dangerous. He said retired Gen Curtis LeMay would treat the atom bomb as just another weapon and warned the Wallace LeMay ticket favors brute force at home and catastrophic force abroad. He labeled Nixon evasive and equivocal and predicted a dramatic shift in support in the campaign’s final weeks.

Dog Bites Two Arlington Children Hospitalized
Two Arlington children were hospitalized after a Samoyed bit them near their homes and at a bus stop. Alan Sargood, kindergarten son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Sargood of East Arlington, and Richard Bernini, son of Mrs. Ettore Bernini, suffered facial injuries. Both were treated at Putnam Memorial Hospital and reported in good condition. The Bennington County Humane Society tranquilized the dog for quarantine.
