Refugees from South Vietnam to Begin Life in Bennington
Two former South Vietnamese soldiers arrive Monday at the Holy Cross novitiate in Bennington under a joint sponsorship with the Council of Churches. They will study English at St Joseph's in Wallingford before returning to Bennington for a period of acclimation. A Vietnamese family is planned to join them soon, housing arrangements progress with local churches. The program seeks community support to overcome language and cultural barriers as the men adjust to life in Vermont.
