Wichita State football plane crash in Colorado rocks team travels
A chartered Wichita State University football team plane crashed near Silver Plume Colorado at timberline 12 000 feet high, killing 31. Eleven survived badly burned. The team was en route to Logan Utah for a game with Utah State. The other plane with 34 aboard landed safely. The disaster is the worst in U.S. sports history.
