BSD Schools to Run Through Christmas With Fuel Assured

BSD Superintendent George A. Sleeman told the board there will be no fuel shortages or school shutdowns through the Christmas recess. He said heating oil should last, with efforts to conserve fuel expanding to all schools including reduced field trips, lower in-session temperatures, and cooler buildings when not in use. The board approved conditions for community use, including universal student access to events, cleanup by user groups, and no conflicts with school affairs.
