The Bennington Planning Commission voted to amend permanent zoning so trailers may be used as one family dwellings in residential zones if on a permanent masonry foundation and meeting sanitary codes. The commission also moved the airport zone boundary and renamed rural residential zones to agricultural and rural residential. A sixth suggestion was discussed, with three adopted, for future study.

FHA Raises Investment Floor on Note Purchases

Wallet Found Near Mohawk Airlines Crash
A wallet with about 1,800 in cash and traveler's checks was found near the Mohawk Airlines crash site on Pilot Knob mountain north of Glens Falls. The Nov. 19 crash killed 14 with no survivors. the wallet was turned over to state police by John Kelley of WPTR after discovery during Civil Air Patrol surveys.
