Aims of State Mental Health Plan Outlined to Counselling Board
Dr. Robert Mines and William Rucker briefed the Bennington County United Counseling Service on a state mental health planning study funded in part by federal grants. The effort will map 17 problem areas including crime juvenile delinquency and marital problems to coordinate state and local actions and guide future, possible Department of Mental Health creation.

Bennington Rescue Squad Sets Model for Orwell Help
Rescue squad in Bennington, operating full time since July, acts as a model for Orwell in Addison County. President Andre H. Betit and Charles Perkins toured Orwell this week to advise a new group. Bennington's service runs three-man crews with two rescue vehicles, including a 1956 Cadillac bought this month. Betit plans further trips to assist.
