Non-Damaging Hurricane Could End Northeast Drought
UPI reports weather officials hope for rain bringing relief to a four year drought in the Northeast. A non damaging hurricane could theoretically deliver widespread soaking from the South Atlantic to New England, but forecasters warn the idea is unlikely while forecasting subnormal rainfall. Officials say water levels remain critically low and a slow evenly distributed soaking this winter through spring is needed to restore seasonal levels.
