Meetings On Squires Fate In Virginia ABA Crisis
Stockholders of the Virginia Squires meet to decide if the ailing ABA team will continue or fold amid mounting losses. Van Cunningham says about a quarter of investors pledged cash toward a $400,000 need as talks resume. The club, 1-12 after an overtime loss to Spirits of St Louis, plans practice and may appoint a new coach, with Doug Moe a preferred candidate but unlikely to take the post.
