Vermont Track Receives 225000 From Green Mountain
Vermont collected 225000 from Green Mountain Track this year despite a 750000 drop in handle at Green Mountain Park in Pownal. The 1963 8 percent and 1964 10 percent formulas were revised to a sliding scale based on daily handle. Treasurer Martin Di Matteo expresses disappointment but will honor the agreement while noting attendance fell and only 4 percent of bettors were Vermontists.
