Vermont one room schools fade yet linger in Rupert
Rupert Vermont hosts the last one room school in Bennington County. The Rupert Village School uses a mid 1800s two story building with a ground floor classroom and an upstairs town meeting hall. Teacher Martha Simonds, with 13 years experience, handles a single room class while the district weighs future funding and part time music and PE positions.
