Communist China took its seat in the United Nations General Assembly for the first time welcomed by nations around the world including the United States. U S Ambassador George Bush greeted Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Chiao Kuan hua as the delegation settled behind the China sign at 10 35 a m. The session featured welcoming speeches by leaders including Adam Malik and Kuwait’s Abdalla Bishara while photographers surrounded the Chinese delegation.
