Manchester youth dies from crash
Larry S. DeCamp aged 20 of Manchester Center died from injuries sustained in an auto crash on Barnumville Road Sunday morning at 5 34. Police say excessive speed was a factor and he was thrown from the car after it struck a tree. He died at a Burlington hospital after transfer from Rutland hospital. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Vermont deer season opens with two deaths and a wound
The opening weekend of gun season in Vermont saw predictions of strong hunting activity by about 10,000 hunters as more deer were reported than in years past. But the period also brought tragedy with two hunter deaths and an accidental shooting leaving another man injured. Henry Abbott collapsed from a heart attack while loading a deer. Ralph M.
