US ICBM Strength Seen Near Five Times Soviet Arsenal
The Institute for Strategic Studies reports the United States will have about 475 ICBMs ready, nearly five times the Soviet 100 missiles, by year end. The survey notes Soviet buildup continues and stresses high yield warheads on fewer missiles. It also mentions Soviet submarine missiles and destroyers, with 90 submarines and 12 missile-armed destroyers in service.

A pseudorca named Swifty, an 11 foot 3 inch whale with sharp teeth, was captured Oct 10 near Marineland and already shows greater learning ability than the pilot whales in the sea circus. Officials say the species is rare in the Western Hemisphere and Swifty may be the first alive in the open ocean. She leaps for food up to nine feet and could reach fifteen feet soon.
