Manchester selectmen withhold dumping agreement with Peru
Manchester leaders delayed signing a contract with Peru to share their landfill amid capacity concerns at Bromley Village and the town dump. Peru would dump about 730 cubic yards annually, Bromley about 800, with Beattie offering more land for town use. Negotiations over months paused as officials weigh the impact on Dorset’s existing $6,000 yearly rental and long term capacity.
