Does His Nakedness denude the truth
New York based study by Dr. Thomas Bever and Martin Smith analyzes 48 children aged seven to twelve in Ridgewood New Jersey. It finds younger kids respond to ads with humor while older children view misleading television advertising as lies. By age ten to twelve children resolve the conflict by rejecting ads as untruthful, accepting limits to challenging the system. The report, in Harvard Business Review, questions what TV teaches children about truth and society.
