Vermont Seeks AAA Bond Rating Return From Ratings Firms
State leaders led by Governor Thomas Salmon and State Treasurer Stella B. Hackel traveled to New York with Harlan C. Sylvester to meet with Moody's and Standard & Poor's executives. Moody's noted high income debt ratio but Vermont touts near-complete interstate highways and essential facilities, with planned fiscally conservative future bond authorizations.
