Woodford approves lower 1972 tax rate
Woodford selectmen set the 1972 tax rate at 2.38 with a Grand List of 28,821 and budgets for general expenses 15,931 highway 5,200 and school 78,158. They note the rate reflects a post reappraisal shift and contrasts with 1971’s 4.30 base. The town faces zoning challenges and a pending planning commission letter of suggestions, plus plans to close the Fay Fuller Green Mountain Club shelter and post enforcement signs to curb tourist parking.
