Developer plans shopping plaza for Manchester
A 2.5 acre block in downtown Manchester has been sold to VIP Realty led by Robert H. Spain. He plans to convert the Donald Dorr property into a shopping plaza featuring a gas station by VIP Petroleum, three storefronts, and up to housing on the site. Spain vows a New England colonial design with cedar shake exteriors and covered walkways, and has already lined up tenants for Three Donuts Coffee Shop. He envisions additional uses including an English pub and guest-house style housing, pending approvals from environmental and zoning officials who called the project grandfathered and approved.
