Negro Youth Confesses Shooting NAACP Leader
A 16 year old Negro boy confessed to killing James M. Floyd a longtime NAACP leader in Savannah Georgia. Police said he and two other juveniles planned to rob Floyd at the NAACP office. Floyd was found shot on the sidewalk with $612 in his pocket. One pistol was recovered at the boy's home. A preliminary trial is set for May 26 in Recorder's Court.
