John C. Page of Bennington County named president of the Merck Forest Foundation Inc. board at the annual meeting succeeding Harry Mitiguy of Burlington who joined the advisory board. A public card party will be held at the Senior Citizens Community Center 168 North St Friday at 8 with prizes and refreshments. Last week’s winners were Veronica Galipeau Edgar Melanson Maude Rogers. A Sunday social is May 23 at 1 30 pm and a members business meeting May 24 at 7 30 pm. Banquet tickets go on sale for June 14 at Mt Anthony Country Gab at 5 30 pm price 2 50 ham or turkey.
