Fishermen Feared Dead After Battenkill Trip Near Greenwich
William Hogan aged 40 and Joseph Foelick aged 32, both local fishermen, are feared drowned in the Battenkill near Clark Mills four miles west of Greenwich. Their boat was found at a small falls foot with a red cap nearby believed to belong to one of the missing men. A car thought to be theirs was found by the creek. A lantern recovered from the water aided the search as grappling devices and scuba divers joined state police, conservation rangers, and Washington County officers in ongoing efforts.
