Seven UVM Students In Crash One Dies

UPI reports a University of Vermont student was killed and six others injured when their station wagon crashed into a barn and caught fire. Richard Sparks, 20, of New Jersey, died. others named include John Harrington 21, John Packard 19, Leo Pfeiffer 19, Nicholas Rowland 20, Martin Sweeney 19, and John Brisbys 20. The car went out of control on Route 22A, the barn roof collapsed, and the injured were taken to Porter Hospital in Middlebury.

Windsor Convict Escapes From Work Detail
