Bush strike ends. several unions still at work nationwide

United Press International reports tentative accords between Anheuser Busch and the Teamsters brewery workers may allow up to 8,000 back to nine plants. Other strikes persist including United Rubber Workers at Firestone Goodrich Goodyear Uniroyal plants and a large Teamsters walkout against United Parcel Service.

Carter Meany meeting signals possible labor support

AFL-CIO President Meany met Jimmy Carter at federation headquarters for about an hour, signaling possible labor endorsement if Carter wins the 1976 Democratic nomination. Ford Reagan near limit on spending

Ford and Reagan close to the $13 million pre nomination spending cap as more than half the delegates remain to be chosen. Reagan has raised and spent about $9.5 million while Ford totals reach about $8.8 million.

FBI seeks young man in Maine utility bombing

The FBI seeks a mid 20s Portland man in connection with bombs at Central Maine Power Co offices in Augusta. No injuries but $75,000 damage. A letter claimed by the Fred Hampton Unit of the Peoples Forces warned of more violence if CMP did not halt a $20 million rate increase and nuclear power use.
