Funeral services for Charles E Canfield of Arlington were heavily attended at St James Episcopal Church. The Rev Lawrence Sherwin officiated with John Riddle at the console. Attendees included Canfield Paper Co of New York City executives, Dartmouth College alumni, Arlington School Board members, library officials, and relatives from several states. He died Sunday morning at Patnanj Memorial Hospital in Bennington after a long illness.
