Landmark water tower removed in Hoosick Falls
The water tower at the former Noble & Wood Machine Co. plant on lower First Street was demolished by Burgess Bros. contractors for Oak Industries. The removal fits an renovation plan as Oak plans a Oak Mitsui division site. A nearby fire during demolition drew the village fire department, with a worker hoisted by crane atop the tower to combat a fire in the platform.
