Federal Judges Hear Arguments On Restoration of B M Service
A three judge federal panel in Burlington heard why the Boston and Maine Railroad should restore passenger service between Springfield Massachusetts and White River Junction Vermont. The ICC ruled the four daily runs were an undue burden, while B M officials claim the line loses about 180000 dollars annually. The state appeals to reverse the ICC ruling, naming the federal government and B M as defendants. Judges Leddy Smith and Waterman will decide.
