The Vermont Senate gave final approval to a House-Senate resolution enabling the 3.5 million North Bennington spur funds approved in 1968 to be used for highway work in the U.S. 7 area of Bennington. The plan includes an interceptor from the proposed new U.S. 7 north of the Deer Park back to the Flats and a spur from the new U.S. 7 to the old Harwood Hill road. Approval preserves the 1968 priorities and avoids reopening the act for further changes.
